Sorting & Organisation
Uploads, encounters, folders and organisation.
SmileSort helps organise photographs into patients, encounters and folders, so large photography sessions can be managed without manually creating and moving files between traditional folders.
How sorting worksYes. Choose Multiple patients when you upload, and SmileSort groups the photographs into likely encounters for you to review. Nothing is filed to a patient until you approve it.
How sorting worksIt depends on your plan: up to 20 photographs in one batch on Starter, 100 on Workflow and 200 on Studio.
See plans and pricingAn encounter is a group of photographs belonging to the same clinical photography session or treatment stage. It keeps a patient's photography organised chronologically and in context.
How sorting worksYou remain in control. Nothing is filed until you approve the batch, and before then you can drag photographs between encounters, merge or split encounters, and remove photographs from the batch.
Yes. If you already know which patient the photographs belong to, you can choose or create that patient and upload straight into their record.
Yes. You can create folders within a patient's record to reflect the way you work and organise cases. Starter includes 1 custom folder per patient; Workflow and Studio have no limit.
How patient records workYes. You can rename an encounter while you review a batch — the name becomes its folder's name when it's filed — and rename any folder in a patient's record.
Yes. While you review a batch, drag a photograph — or a selection of them — onto another encounter. After filing, you can move photographs between a patient's folders.
Yes. You can rotate a photograph and flip it horizontally or vertically, while reviewing a batch or later in the photo viewer. The change is saved as a setting, so the stored file itself isn't rewritten.
You can file them without choosing a patient. They wait under Unassigned patients on the Patients page, where you can name them or add them to an existing patient whenever you're ready.
Yes. Search your patients by name, reference or practice, and filter by practice and by the date the photographs were taken — a single day or a range.
